InterLingo sessions require a stable broadband connection of connection speed of 400 Kbps or higher. While home wireless connections can work, we highly recommend a wired Internet connection to eliminate the possibility of interference and congestion. If you wireless signal strength drops, you will experience poor audio.

InterLingo video conferences will run on any platform for which the Adobe Flash Player is available, Mac, PC or Linux. If you have any instability during your session, we recommend you uninstall Flash Player and reinstall. Turn off your pop-up blocker before your sessions.

InterLingo highly recommends use of a headset for improved session quality and comfort of others in the session. USB headsets provide the best quality, and are the only headsets that work on Mac without additional equipment. Confirm your headset is selected in Control Panel/System Preferences and within your session.

It is possible to use an external mic and speakers for situations where there are multiple people using one computer to participate in a session. We require an echo canceling speaker phone or a mic that can be switched off while the participants are not speaking.

Although a webcam is not required, it greatly increase interaction among participants and the instructor. Most laptops now have webcams built in. Check the manufacture’s website for compatibility of external webcams. Mac drivers are available for most cameras.
